I don’t know how it works, but from the outset March 2012 I assumed I had a « guardian angel » who appeared to like and protect my site which is highly critical of the BigPharma/Neurology/Medical Industrial lobby. It also offers ideas for self care and real healing outside the prevailing allopathic paradigm. My « guardian » read the blog posts carefully and highlighted key passages. Occasionally the site was dumped 3 pages forward, but it always returned to near the top, if not the top, of the first « MS Cure » search page.. Until now. Is this an example of the end to internet neutrality? Has Google allowed commercial, elite interests to prevail over the interests of MS patients, or is this simply a struggle between 2 individuals ?
It has occured to me that the private tech company Healthline Media.Inc.is behind this attack on my site. MedicalNewsToday, which belongs to their group, is always placed number one on the « ms cure » search page. There are generally 2 Healthline entries thereafter which means they are hogging 30% of page one. It is not so much that their work is badly done, but it is incomplete, and it is precisely their omission of the central nervous system fluid circulation issue which my site addresses – and which MSers need to know. Is Healthline management paying Google to highlight their company, or is it simply a question of doing friends a favour, Google and Healthline both being located in N. California. This attack on my site strikes me as personal, petty and mean. And of no benefit to the MSers one pretends to help.
See Wikipedia’s entry for Healthline (edited)
« Healthline Media, Inc. is a privately owned provider of health information headquartered in San Francisco, CA founded in 2006 and established as a standalone entity in January 2016.[3]
As of Aug 2018, it had a global ranking by Alexa of 614 and a United States ranking of 237…[4]
[In January 2016, Healthline raised $95 million in growth equity financing through Summit Partners…
The firm acquired sister websites MedicalNewsToday.comand MediLexicon.com in May 2016…
MedicalNewsToday.com is a medical news site, joined Healthline.com, Drugs.com, and Livestrong.com as Healthline’s family of health properties…
Healthline Media’s website, Healthline.com, is a destination site for health and wellness information, and a competitor to WebMD.[5][10] In 2009, Kim Komando, a technology columnist with USA Today, listed Healthline.com as a top health information website.[11]
In addition to Healthline.com, the company also provides health-related content, tools and services to more than 40 other sites.[12] In 2010, Healthline Media signed an agreement to provide medical and health-related content and tools to Yahoo Health[12]. Other partners include AARP.com and DoctorOz.com.[5] Healthline Networks software also powers Aetna’s patient portal.[13]
WAIT A MINUTE !
In my opinion, the article posted under the MedicalNewsToday (Healthline) site which is always ranked number one under Google search for « ms cure », is basically an Advertisement for MS Drugs masquerading as helpful, disinterested advice. And note that the Wikipedia article above boasts of Healthline’s Alexa ranking as well as its income and network of « partners ».
Is Google handing the «ms cure » page over to a private company which is bent on destroying the competition in order to improve its Alexa rank i.e. its sales potential ? And does this private company skew its site choices in order to serve the interests of Big Pharma ?
Obviously I can’t compete with that power. My motives are not financial. Edward Snowden observed in 1983 that the Internet had already lost its freedom of the early days. It’s depressing for me to see how the elites are closing in to shut down independent voices.
And in this recent guest contribution to Paul Craig Roberts site, I can see my fears are entirely justified.

The World Socialist Web Site reported last year that changes to Google’s algorithms had negatively impacted left-wing socialist and anti-war websites. An analysis by WSWS found that 13 such websites had seen their traffic plunge by a whopping 55 percent in the six months since Google had changed its algorithms. WSWS itself experienced a 74-percent drop in traffic between April and July last year. The changes also affected sites like Alternet, which saw its traffic plunge by 71 percent between April and September, Democracy Now (50-
percent drop) and Truth-out.org (49-percent drop)…
Today, Google does control 90 percentof that market. (search). However, in prosecuting an antitrust case, the onus would be on the government to prove that not only is Google a monopoly, but that it acted maliciously to reach that position…
In Europe, Google has already been fined billions of euros this year for antitrust violations… In addition, Google was fined $2.7 billion last year by the EU for manipulating search results to favor its own shopping services.
Back to me. The French object to Google’s search engine monopoly and use Microsoft’s Bing as the default option..
In my opinion we have here in Google’s « ms cure » search an illustration of « acting maliciously », and « manipulating search results. »
So much for the « Don’t be Evil » crowd.
I conclude here with my original insight which MSers should consider in their treatment plan while these various « health » sites duke it out like voracious vultures over a wounded beast.
FROM MY SEVEN STEPS TO MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS HEALTH
1. ENHANCE BLOOD/CEREBRO-SPINAL FLUID CIRCULATION
If had known that my MS is essentially a pathology characterised by obstructed central nervous system fluid flows – blood and cerebrospinal fluid – I wouldn’t need a cane to walk today. That one simple concept changed my life forever, but it came too late to save me from handicap. It came in time to slow progression.
My research has concluded there exist three fundamental fluid obstructions. 1) skeletal obstructions of fluid flows – bones, ligaments, muscles, arteries. 2) spasms in the veins’ middle smooth muscle layer which obstruct blood flow and 3) stenosed veins in need of being ballooned open to overcome interior obstructions, the CCSVI issue.
Before undergoing venoplasty for CCSVI by an Interventional Radiologist , I think one should verify that there is no skeletal obstruction. The best diagnostic tool for that is a cinematic upright FONAR MRI. Chiropractors are probably the best therapists to determine and treat skeletal obstructions and may be able to suggest tools less expensive than the FONAR MRI. Issue number 2 may be the easist to treat through relaxation techniques (yoga) or simple blood/cerebrospinal fluid circulation therapies such as massage, acupuncture, neuro-muscular electrical stimulation, osteopathy, or swimming. The injection by an MD of a mixture of dexamethasone/lidocaine/thiamineused to treat trigeminal neuralgia may be considered.
